It was a huge success! The largest turn-out (31) thus far. Thanks to June, for all the hard work and agony from organising it. It was a really wonderful evening of comradship over food, an essential of life and so basic, but is exactly what puts all 31 of us on common ground.
We started the evening with delicious, warm bread rolls, accompanied by florettes of whipped butter, while waiting for a couple of eventual "no-shows". A hungry blogger is an angry blogger.
It was followed quickly by an amuse bouche - Chef's signature watermelon with feta cheese and basil.
Thereafter, course after course of delicious things, dotted with 2 lucky draw moments, accompanied with excellent service from the (stressed-out) staff topping up the glasses with sponsored Fiji water and wine - a red, a white, and a dessert.
I have a hard time deciding what course I enjoyed the most - they were all excellent. Chef even brilliantly incorporated Fiji water to make his soup course! And as usual, his crustacean oil pasta was very wanting - I sure could do with another 5 pieces!

Alas, Le Papillon seems to have remained under the radar despite the consistently good food. If not for its location, you would find me there more often, probably busy with the set lunch from a menu that change weekly and is reasonably priced ($29). I sure hope Le Papillon is here to stay!
[Chef Anderson, if you are reading this, thanks for making accomodations for my pescetarian diet! The grilled avocado with goat's cheese and nuts was really a surprise but nonetheless, delicious!]
Each of us received a gift bag comprising of a bottle of Fiji water, discount vouchers from Razorsharp, Cellar Door and Cathay Photo. Because Chef Anderson is nice, he managed to hook us up with Premier, who sponsored tea bags for all to try.
I was lucky this year, and walked away with a Mario Batali cast iron 10" saute pan from the lucky draw. I wonder what I would do with it. It is darn heavy!
Anyway, I am already looking forward to the next dinner. As I was feeling a little under the weather, I did not mingle as much as I wanted to. Oh well, until next year - watch out for it over at Colin's!
