The Halia Restaurant at the Botanic Gardens is such a beautiful place. I was there for a couple of work dinners and the private rooms across the main restaurant was the most perfect setting for about 20 - 30 pax. There was a private bar and sufficient space to stand around for pre-dinner nibbles.
The organizer prepared a four-course dinner which were each petite in size but summed up to be a really filling dinner. I barely had room for dessert!
First course: cherry tomato tart with anchovy and goat's cheese. I would have loved more of those elements!
Second course : butternut soup (no picture)
Third course: barramundi coated with almonds, with curried cauliflower and mash
Fourth course: coconut and ginger semifreddo with roasted pineapple
Everyone loved the dessert as it was rather light, a little ginger kick and refreshing!
